ABOUT
Hello!
Here, you'll find short snippets of books I've read, the information I've learned, and stories I've heard. You'll be exposed to new ideas, new views, and quite possibly have some paradigm shifts. If you enjoy getting out of your comfort zone and trying to think outside of your comfort zone, continue to read, and comment! I would love to discuss ideas with you - that's the only way for any of us to grow and develop, sharpening each other's minds and character.
These writings are meant for you to be exposed to new ideas, and if they happen to be old to you, then please discuss them with me! I invite you to challenge the views and ideas presented. These writings are also meant for me to digest what I have learned and put them into writing.
A little about me: I finished high school early, and am currently pursuing my Associates, and plan to go to a 4-year university. I am an avid reader, writer, and thinker. I am a public speaker and debater. I am a devoted Christian. I have always had a passion for writing and storytelling since I could remember. Storytelling is such an important role in this day and age - no matter what type of information you present through it. Everyone's minds tune in when they hear a story - after all, our ancestors passed history through word of mouth, telling stories around the fire. Stories are never boring, and if I can practice the art of incorporating any type of information in a story like a format to get your attention about important issues, then I absolutely will try my best. Storytelling isn't just for novelists or the stereotypical writer you might imagine, drinking a cup of coffee in a cabin in the woods. Storytelling is a skill that allows people to tune into important information.
I want to end with a word of encouragement, which I will do in each of my posts: Never underestimate the power of change. We have the ability to change so many parts of our lives. You have the power to wake up earlier. You have the power to go out for a run. You have the power to sit down for an hour and do something you're passionate about. You have control over how you use your time. You have control over who you surround yourself with. You have control over the types of thoughts you have running in your head, and the attitude you exhibit towards others.
Why did I name this website Sulit? Because I want everyone to realize that what they decide to do today, even if it may be difficult for the time being, will be sulit, or worth it, in the end. What is sulit for you?
